Rehoming Rough Collie – Sweet, Smart, Needs Active Home
Located in Mount Carmel, TN
We are looking to rehome Maverick, a 15-month-old Rough Collie. He is a very sweet, intelligent dog who has so much potential in the right environment.
Maverick is:
• House trained
• Knows basic commands
• Gentle and well-meaning
• Has done well with cats on his end (calm and non-aggressive)
• Tolerates bathing and handling well
He is still young and has a higher energy level, so he would do best in a home that can provide:
• Plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation
• Space to run and explore
• An active owner or family familiar with herding breeds
Important notes:
• He can be anxious in new environments and may pace or whine while adjusting
• He would do best in a home without territorial pets, or with slow, structured introductions
• We have been working on leash training, but he is most familiar with having free roam of a fenced yard
• A securely fenced yard or safe outdoor setup is strongly recommended
Our current pet dynamic and home setup have made it clear that this is not the best long-term fit for him, and it’s not fair for him to have to be separated or restricted in the home. Our goal is to find him a home where he can truly thrive.
A rehoming fee applies and will include all of his supplies: food, bowls, toys, treats, durable Kong crate, leads, leashes, bark collar, brushes, hygiene and grooming supplies, and more.
